Saturday, January 6, 2024 - Black currant, prune, charcoal, tobacco, and mocha. Lots of acidity and tannin, by far the less approachable compared with the 2020 Belle-Vue and 2020 Lestage, but gradually the fruit finds its way through, and it handled a roast duck extremely well. One for old world palates, one for food (so much better with the duck than on its own). It deserves some cellaring and should gain weight and soften if you can leave it for 5 more years. Drink 2029 - 2034.
