Thursday, April 1, 2021 - I've had a few of these of late, and while this showed a bit more promise than the others, I don't see this bottling ever overcoming the vintage. A 2-hour decant helped (frankly, 24 hours would have served the wine better). Unsurprisingly, it is the alcohol which dominates, much more evident than the notes of ripe red berries and herbs. Evident oak. It was a crowd-pleaser, but I continued to struggle with the heat.
