Sunday, February 24, 2008 - Opaque purple core and rim. Powerful, almost Port-like nose with super-ripe blueberry and damson fruit with liquorice, toffee, chocolate coated raisins and saddle leather. Dense waves of exotic fruits on the palate with great acidity, very fine, beautifully integrated tannins and a sensuous, luxurious mouthfeel. Sweet and alcoholic (16.5%) this may be but this wine has amazing depth and purity. Exceptional.
