Wednesday, August 25, 2021 - Drank to celebrate the kiddo being off Covid quarantine while in Maine. Served with spaghetti and meatballs, oily and mediocre garlic bread and salad with super sweet cherry tomatoes. Inky red hue. Nose of cherry, raspberry, blackberry. Similar in the mouth, maybe a touch of dark chocolate or tobacco? Decent acidity, but of tannins gives it some body. Of like it s little drier, I'm getting a bit of sweetness. A solid table wine. Not the best pairing, but selection wasn't all that robust either, and it worked well enough. Might stick with steak or chocolate.
