Thursday, January 1, 2009 - Medium plus blood/ruby, with a fairly narrow paler rim showing a touch of brick. Quite firm nose of dark cherries, with touches of game and spice and even a hint of chocolate. The mouth entry is surprisingly clean, pure, and quite light. It builds on the palate to a round smooth wine with touches of fruitcake, licorice and tar, and firm tannins on the finish.
