Tuesday, May 16, 2023 - With this wine, there is indeed a similarity to the Italian wines of the Piedmonte.A beautiful nose, exhibiting violets and rose aromas, then an herbaceous and red/black fruit driven palate, and a hint of tar to boot. A racy acidity gives this wine great freshness. Maybe the tannins felt a little abrasive at first, but I think therein often the magic lies. These wines are meant to be enjoyed with rich foods, and olive oils that coat the palate, not on their own. A marvelous wine that is an absolute steal at under $20.
