Friday, November 3, 2023 - This is my first Xinomavro and it really reminds me of Nebbiolo. Pale in colour, roses on the nose. There is very pronounced cherry as well and berry leaves. Maybe a touch of tobacco. I really like the smell.
It is less tannic and more cherry forward than Nebbiolo on the palate. There is some cranberry as well, especially on the finish.
I love Nebbiolo, so I really enjoyed this. Will definitely be trying more.
