Saturday, December 17, 2022 - Thought I’d give one of the newish arrivals a try, after the recent out of this world experience with the 2017 Old Vines petite sirah. This is less of a barrel sample than the 2017 was; it’s big and brutish, and while the fruit is delicious and vibrant, there are some tart and tannic edges that presumably time will soften. Currently a 92 but with definite upside. In sum, yet another excellent Switchback PS that will be drinking well for many years to come.
