Friday, December 20, 2019 - This is at the back end of the drinking window and unlikely to pleasantly surprise you with more time in the bottle -- unless your preference is for Barolo of a certain age. From Magnum. Surprisingly little sediment upon decanting. Just a hint of age showing. Fading on the rim. Initial impressions. A muted nose mostly of dust and mild, dark fruit. The most subtle of hint of raisins but not off putting. Up front, pleasant notes of berry, leather and sandal wood wrapped in balance. On the finish though, there's a bit of metallic back wash that is a negative No change after an hour in the decanter. That's all she wrote.
