Thursday, June 30, 2022 - Under cork now. Similar to my impression of the Sallio, these wines aren’t as clean as they used to be. This one is also affected by some VA on the nose and a savoury, dried out palate. Weird ashy bitterness to it too. It did get a lot better on day 2, more sherry aldehydes with lovely nutty notes enhancing the puckering citrusy acid. The structure seems to need time to come together - I recommend a 24 he decant minimum.
