Saturday, April 6, 2024 - I thought that this didn't quite have the balance of some previous vintages; more specifically it lacked the 'raciness' and degree of acidic bite that I've seen before. Billaud wines are always quite fruit forward and not stony or austere, but this seemed to just lack a little edge, not flabby by any means, and not lacking in fruit. I suspect it won't have the longevity of some years such as 2014.
Caveat...I had a chest infection and sinusitis so may be a bit severe o on it!
