Sunday, July 5, 2020 - Per the recommendation of a friend I decanted this wine a couple of hours in advance. In the past when I had not decanted the wine it had some harsh bitter flavors that took some time to blow away.
The wine had wax and lanolin flavors with good acidity. There were flavors of straw and wheat as well as mountain flowers. Faint touches of honey and orange extract. Completely integrated and balanced. Perhaps a little past it's prime but I think this wine has years of life left.
