Saturday, December 10, 2022 - Sipped on this during the England-France World Cup match. It did not change much over the course of two hours, but I am leaving half the bottle for tomorrow. It's certainly dry, as opposed to being on the off-dry end of the trocken scale. Tart citrus and white peach fruit dominate in the aromatics. It has a touch of bitterness on the palate that accentuates the dryness of the wine, but then also a sort of artificial note - diet Sprite-esque that is a little off-putting. Hopefully a day of air (or years of cellaring) can mute that element in an otherwise appealing wine.
