Clearly never a blockbuster, but nice light body with some tannins remaining to hold it all together as a nicely balanced blend of violets and smokey fruits. Did not feel 30 years old from a vintage expected to last only to 2000. I'd expect it to fall off fairly rapidly as the tannins fade
