Friday, August 3, 1990 - At Singer & Foy survey of '79 Bordeaux. Medium-dark ruby. Fairly interesting bouquet. A bit oaky. On the palate, somewhat coarse, a bit harsh, though with a sleek mouthfeel. Bitter. Has that bitter finish. I don't like this vintage.
