Friday, September 21, 2018 - From a 5L. It was a bit of a process to get the cork out. Wax had to be softened and underneath that the cork was fairly soaked through and crumbly. Strained and decanted and enjoyed. This was prob a touch over the hill if I had to guess, but still really quite enjoyable. It's got a full set of more tertiary notes - the olive tapanade. Still has the red fruits (a hint faded). Well balanced. Got better for the first 30 minutes of air and then seemed to even out and stayed strong through the end. Very enjoyable.

9/29/2018 9:00:00 PM - We did it at Keens in NYC, but we brought the bottle. Mike's birth year so I went aggressively for this wine. Group of 6. Had a bottle of champagne too. Was lovely. When are you guys coming to NYC? We're back in Charleston where we all met and it's very fun!
