Saturday, July 22, 2023 - A really interesting (IMHO) wine. It’s 50% pinot noir, which gives it some body and heft, 35% gamay, which adds brightness and freshness, and 15% Mondeuse (a grape I’m not familiar with) that must provide the bit of farm/old world funk that underlies it all. On paper it doesn’t sound like much, but in practice it totally works. This strikes me as a wine meant to be drunk on the younger side. It paired well with pasta salad, but could go with lots of foods or even by itself.

We both thought it was excellent.
