95 Points

Sunday, April 2, 2023 - Subtle nose of mint & quince.
Very Côte-de-Beaune Grand Cru-like in the palate: rich, modestly buttery, good acidity and great complexity. Citrus, pear and acid in perfect balance, but not overwhelming. Very Chardonnay-like even though this is 100% Altesse. An iron fist in a velvet glove in every way a great white wine can be.
Extremely long, fine finish with moderate minerality and modest white-wine tannin.
Wow! A universally great white wine, if not exactly typical for Savoie. Sneak it into your next GC white Burgundy tasting as a ringer.
"Vin Biologique" (organic) from the tiny village of Cevins, this is among the most celebrated of Savoie wines.
Was tempted to give it 96 points but not a typical Savoie wine even though it's very lithe in the palate.
The final white in a 22 wine study of Savoie. The best, and most expensive. But a bargain compared to Grand Cru white Burgundy, with which it's most akin.
