Sunday, March 20, 2022 - Young, a bit reductive but not in that overly sulfur-y way that dominates. A good dollop of older (it seems) oak, again very judicious and appropriate to the fruit density, no butterscotch or high toast here. The nose never shows a huge amount, the palate is excellent, tons of density, mix of apple and tropical fruit, the finish trails off a bit. Medium-low acidity but not flabby. Definitely seems more old-school and the density could have this pass as a higher level CdB. Great value under $40.
Tasted over a few hours out of a Glasvin Prestige glass.
