drank side by side with the 2000 sloan over a dry aged porterhouse at press.
this had an old world nose -- earthy, some faint mint and some dark,cool fruits. throwing lots of setiment.
Not overly concentrated or extracted, but a nice complexity with some eucalyptus/citrus elements mixing with some red cherry fruits. very silky smooth tannins on the finish -- took a 3hours for the fruit to find its way to the end of the palate... early on created a bit of a clipped sensation. Put on some weight and sweetness as the vening wore on.
