Tuesday, April 11, 2023 - Excellent wine, luscious, mellow. In my humble opinion, since 2017 in any case, Petrus is only the second best wine from Pomerol behind Lafleur. And there's a logical reason for that. Petrus is 100% Merlot while Lafleur contains 50 Cabernet Franc and this variety suffers less from extreme heat and drought. Petrus also planted CF but they will only be in the great wine in several years 96-97/100
