Tuesday, January 17, 2023 - Tasted over a couple of nights, this was (like the Spätlese I drank alongside) fresh and pure, with classic apple and lime fruit, and a dash of richness backed up by bright but not overbearing acidity. Nothing overpowering here, as it’s a look back to Auslese of 20 years ago. Clear and essentially botrytis free, it’s my favorite style of spicy food friendly Auslese. Should age classically, which for Auslese means endlessly.
