Friday, April 12, 2024 - A very dark blue fruit nose with tar, black licorice, and old leather notes. This is a dense, weighty Bin 389, with about equal proportions of Cabernet to Shiraz. The Cabernet proportion seems to predominate on the palate. It’s spicy-smoky, oaky-smooth, fruity and bold. The tannins have a nice grip. The finish carries smoothly through on the strength of the ever-intense fruit and good supporting freshness.
