Saturday, April 13, 2024 - Another great bottle from an important producer - a "winemakers" wine as they say.

Somewhat closed to begin with…smoky, spicy aromas (nutmeg, cinnamon) then appear, with black licorice, ripe red & black fruits (blueberries, blackcurrants) with generous balsamic notes. Good intensity.

Perfectly integrated ‘merican oak.

There is tension on the palate, great youthfulness & an outstanding creamy texture that fills the mouth.

Tannins? Lively, polished & fine.

Overall, broad & long, meaty & structured - but elegant with great freshness & fruit on the finish.
