Bright, focused citrus and yellow apple fruit tones, brisk acidity, and a mouthwatering finish meant that glasses got emptied almost as quickly as they could be filled. The mid-palate depth was the most impressive aspect, and gives me incentive to bury my other bottle for some significant aging. Nice to have such a fine showing from a Thanisch wine, as they went through a rather rough patch a while back. With such fine vineyard sites it’s good to see them not being wasted.
