Saturday, September 26, 2020 - Double decanted about 1 hour ahead.
Nose is explosive with dark cherry, camphor, baking spice, mentholated herbs, earth, liquified red and black flowers. There are hints of bitter chocolate, asphault, leather, cedar and truffle as well.
Palate is quite rich and there is still a good clamp of tannin present with a bit of lingering heat on the finish.

I think this is ready to go....and definetly harkens back to a time where I liked a richer style of Barolo. I've had this in my cellar for 12+ and realizing that given what this now costs and how stylistically different it is to what I tend to drink now (Cappellano, Bartolo, Accommaso, Sandri, Cannonica etc.) that is no longer on my list of Barolos to buy
