Monday, December 25, 2017 - Decanted 3 hours before pairing with Christmas lasagna. A dark purplish ruby in color, this really responded to decanting. The nose features prototypical blue fruits, blackberry, licorice, leather and violet. Still some tannin, which decanting helped with. This kept getting better throughout the meal, and in the end totally over-classed the 2007 Luigi Righetti Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Capitel De' Roari opened alongside on this afternoon. Still good for several more years.
