Pop and pour, and instantly the aromatics fill the glass - pear, honeysuckle & fresh cut hay. The bit of skin contact adds an extra dimension to the palate, providing richness and depth. Dry but still very fruity, this edition feels like it will benefit from the couple of years I usually give to Idlewild Cortese, but drinking now brings a lot of pleasure.
