Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - One of the best wines in a tasting of 20 wines from Northwest Italy, excluding the Barolo and Barbaresco appellations. Langhe is a larger aggregation of numerous appellations that does not identify where the wines come from and usually is bargain priced. This 13 year old Perbacco has aged beautifully, getting darker, softer, richer, integrated, seamless, and more fruit forward, but still has ample acid and tannin that keep the wine dry and well structured. Overall, a fine example of how Lange can be a fine source of affordable high quality Nebbiolos.
