Sunday, December 21, 2008 - A quality Malbec. Surprisingly – to me – this proved to be the wine of the night amongst many more well-regarded labels. Dark purple color. Overwhelming dark fruit nose. Layers of dark fruit – cherry and blackberry – on the palate amidst some vanilla and pepper flavors. Light finish, though. Beautifully oaked. Well balanced. Drinking very nicely now. Above-average QPR. Delicious.
