Sunday, January 27, 2019 - Excellent bottle.
Well stored. Perfect cork.
Decanted off sediment of which there wasn't much.
Huge odor of cow and horse dung in straw laiden barn floor. Loved it, but that funk blew off in 2 hours.
This bottle was a beautiful evolution of palate seduction. It went through stages of cherries to plums, through tobacco box to honey coated cigar to dirt of mushroom to savory truffle.

It paired very well with pan seared Australian lamb t-bone. The lamb fat muted the cherries and flushed out the plum and tar.

Wish I could find a domestic value as this.
