Wednesday, December 7, 2011 - Nose: Stewed fruit and musty basement. A little bit of leather, almost like new sneakers. Taste: Still really tannic. Needs to decant. Finish is pleasantly bitter. Almost grapefruit on the approach, a nice tartness. Midpalate is a little metallic. Not classic Chianti but really nice. Probably needs another year in the bottle but coming along since the last note.
