Friday, October 19, 2012 - Upon opening this wine had soaring aromatics of cherry and earth. With air the aromas become more muted. Lovely cherry fruit, earth, with plenty of tannin and grip. This is a big, rich and powerful Chianti Rufina. I think I will keep my remaining bottles a while longer to give the tannins some more time to soften. Very good indeed. Has upside.
