Friday, September 12, 2008 - Decanted two hours. On the nose, showing blueberry, crushed stone, walnut shell, gravel, and glue, with strawberry tailing at the end. The nose is REALLY fantastically beautiful here. Light to medium bodied, showing quite a bit of drying tannins in the mouth, along with the wonderful blueberry. Finish is actually very dry with some intense bitter tannins (something the '03 didn't show). I think this one's too young to be drinking today (very tightly wound on the finish), but definitely has the structure to evolve into a true beauty. 91 today, but will surely be a few points higher given a couple years.
