Saturday, October 28, 2023 - (Disgorged in May 2023, 100% Chardonnay from Chouilly, dosage 4 gr/l)
Light yellow greenish colour with a very youthful and tight nose focused on chalk, lime citrus and minerals at first, but with extended time in the glass it reveals what to come with butter, popcorn and lovely roasted coffee notes. Same tightness on the palate at first all is covered underneath a chalkiness and green apples acidity, but with time in the glass it reveals how well it will be with further cellaring opening up with creamy mid and with an lemon zest oiliness on the lengthy finish. This is a very well made, but need more time in the cellar to open up..
