Sunday, September 10, 2023 - Tasting at Rotie Cellars (SoDo, Seattle WA): This pours a rich dark red color. It is pungent, savory, and succulent with well balanced tones of dark red cherries, licorice, violets, black raspberries, herbs, spices, olive paste, and some currant notes. The Full bodied feel is well balanced and plush with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. I'm consistently a fan of this wine and this vintage is no different. It shows off the ripeness of Washington while still clearly being a savory syrah.
