Saturday, March 2, 2013 - It's always nice to have dal Forno and this Amarone was a decent expression of one which still has some of the complexity, but is heading into more 'oxidised' territory. Still rich and juicy on both the nose and the palate with plums, black cherries, cinnamon and spices but with a reserved cooked/oxidated flavour to it. Punchy on the palate also, with the addition of chocolate, cider and blackcurrant. Still got legs on this one for a bit longer still!
