Monday, April 22, 2024 - A private lunch (Restaurant Le Soufflot, Meursault, France): From Taillepieds and Clos des Chênes, bottled January 2023 with the chèvre à deux becs. No stems this year. Light and elegant, beautifully defined red and blue berry fruit, floral lift and a whiffs of undergrowth and sweetness from the wood, aromatic and fresh, toute en delicatesse (12.5% ABV), creamy texture and minerally energy, percaline tannins, exciting interplay of ripe fruit, tannins and acidity on the long finish.
