Sunday, November 6, 2022 - Vinetasters: Howell Mountain (Park Ridge, IL): Laid in chalk cellars 2017. Served double blind. Clearly a well-made good quality champagne, with a slight toasted note and a clear mix of chardonnay and pinot (some brightness from the chardonnay, the richer elements from the pinot). Not too old given the relatively fresh acidity, this had me thinking it was something along the lines of a 2004 vintage champagne.
