Friday, May 20, 2016 - Disgorged in 2015, base year 2007) It's always a treat opening a bottle of Charles Heidsieck, an explosion of flavours showing hazelnuts, toasted bread, minerals and seashells in the beginning. And after a while a hint of marzipan. Lovely intensive palate filled with acidity and dominated by lemon with a nice and long finish. It's always a treat drinking Brut Reserve, and with some few years of extra cellaring it becomes magic! This current release is drinking very good right now though! Best with 5-15 years of extra cellaring.
