Monday, December 25, 2017 - Laid in chalk in 2009 and disgorged in 2014 so probably based on the 2008 vintage and 5 years development on the lees.

The wine is clear and medium gold in colour with bubbles.
The nose is clean with medium (+) intensity aromas of citrus (lemon, lemon curd), green fruit (baked apple), autolysis (biscuit, dough), tertiary (nuts, smoke, toast). The wine is fully developed.
The palate is of dry with high acidity, medium alcohol (12%), medium (+) body, pronounced intensity flavours of lemon, baked apple, biscuit, nuts, smoke. The mousse is creamy. The finish is long.
The wine is outstanding quality. The wine has great concentration of flavours and has pronounced autolytic character due to the length of time spent on the lees. Drinking beautifully now.
