Friday, April 5, 2024 - Another Wine gathering at RJ’s; 4/4/2024-4/7/2024 (Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina): Fully mature complex nose displaying generous ripe red fruit, cherry liqueur, maraschino cherry, leather, sweet spices, a hint of sous bois and earth. There is a hint of wet sox in the beginning but blows off. Excellent concentration, nicely layered generous sweet red fruit, rich and generous, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long sweet red fruit driven finish with leather at the end. It is pretty consistent with the 2017 bottle. It is showing really well.
