Friday, March 19, 2010 - A 92 may seem ridiculous, but I am shocked by how this is drinking right now. Grabbed this bottle from the cellar thinking it was an over-the-hill throwaway--didn't even have anyone over to drink it with. Popped and poured through Vinituri. Huge nose of dark, rich fruits with hints of aged cedarbox. On the palate is rich, lucious dark fruits, black cherry, ripe plum, and even some Dr Pepper. There are just enough tannins on the finish to give it structure. It was like biting into a perfectly ripe peach in the middle of summer. Have one bottle left, and while I can't believe it will be as perfect as this one, I'll be sure to have someone over next time.
