Saturday, April 2, 2022 - This bottle was from an estate disposition and, so, of somewhat questionable provenance. I was pleased that I was able to pull the cork out in one piece with the Ah-So. In the glass the wine was a beautiful dark plum color, albeit, somewhat murky. A dark fruit nose seemed appropriate for a CS. On the tongue I detected blackberry and currant--again, quite expected for a CS. At this point I was ecstatic that there was no sign, at all, of oxidation. Tannin was pretty much resolved, although, there was a very distinct mouth drying sensation. Then, lots of slate, A bit full-bodied, mouthfilling wine. An outstanding wine even though it was a lucky find.
