Thursday, May 21, 2015 - Much better than last time I had this wine, a year ago.
Very Bordeaux, smoky, stable notes, animal, licorice, tobacco, cigar box, cedar wood, gravel, pencil shavings and floral red perfume.
Very elegant and cool, and very tale tell typical left bank.
Palate is silky and balanced, sweet and long, with fat and red fruit.
Red currants and some darker fruit, with fine acidity.
Still, somewhat thin and short on the finish.
Lighter styled, but very fine, especially the nose.
Still young, and I believe this will gain from further cellar time.
