Sunday, November 5, 2023 - At Aeris. Another fascinating example of Sicilian wines brought over from Rhys purchased vineyards. This was unique, complex, and really fascinating. One of the best Carricantes I’ve had (indeed I’ve had very few). Hugely superior to the fairly anonymous California grown Centennial Mountain Carricante Aeris is making. I applaud what the Rhys team is doing with these varietals - I went to this tasting to catch up on these experiments - but they have a long way to go to make wines worth buying.
