1995 Château Léoville Poyferré

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Thursday, October 11, 2018 - Deep red in the glass with a crimson edge.
Loads of fruit on the nose. Ripe cranberry compote, black cherry and blackberry. A touch hot, and a bit of brett, but nothing offensive.
Silky texture with supple tannin, balanced acidity, and decent length. The finish is a bit dry but that could resolve with time.
All in all, very impressed here. The wine is clearly entering its prime and will likely last another 10 years and even longer depending on your preferences.
