Wednesday, January 17, 2024 - Far Niente's 2022 Napa Chardonnay is a light golden wine with aromatics that fully open 30-60 minutes after popping the cork, at which time it unfurls an intense array of citrus, apricots, Bartlett pears, honeysuckle and wet stones. Medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (14.3%) and with proportionate oak, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and has good mid-palate density. Concluding long and crisp, this is a beautifully balanced Chardonnay and an outstanding effort from Far Niente. Drink now-2030.
