Nose:
• Condition: Clean
• Intensity: Medium+
• Aroma Characteristics: Aromas of cassis, cherry, mint, toast, cedar, with youthful qualities
Palate:
• Sweetness: Dry
• Acidity: Medium+
• Tannin: Medium+
• Alcohol: Medium
• Body: Medium
• Flavour Intensity: Medium+
• Flavour Characteristics: Flavors of cassis, tart cherry, cedar, and baking spices
• Finish: Medium+
Conclusions:
• Balance: Good
• Length: Good
• Intensity: Good
• Complexity: Okay
• Readiness/Potential: Recommend waiting approximately 5 years to soften and integrate
• Quality: Good/Very Good
Is is amazing? Nope. Is it classic and regionally correct for Bordeaux from a great AOC? Yes. It’ll be interesting to see where this heads with a little more bottle time or air.
Update: After 2 hours drinking, it really softened up and got better. Upgrading to “Very Good”.
