Wednesday, February 16, 2011 - Bought this a couple of years ago and it's been in the cellar since. Popped and poured allowed to open up in the glass for about 20 mins. A very dark red, almost black. Initially rather acrid and restrained, but opening up into smoky bacon with underlying black fruits, also somewhat of a green streak in it (in a nice way). The palate is also fairly restrained, with good tannins, some fruit, but not very much and an acidic bite to it. Quite full-bodied despite my description, but not sweet at all. Gained weight with airtime. Very CdR, and quite nice. Used some for making boeuf bourgoigne.
